Elmer M. Shimansky, 82, of Fairfield, NJ on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Beloved husband of the late AnnShirley Shimansky. Loving father of Maryann & her husband Dan Kirchberg, Patricia & her husband Dennis Murray, and Louis & his wife Gayle Shimansky. Cherished grandfather of 8 & great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of John, Gerald, and the late Louis, Robert, & Mildred. Mr. Shimansky was a Manager of Technical Services for Ivers Lee, a division of Becton Dickinson for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was a longtime dedicated parishioner of St. Thomas More Church in Fairfield where he also taught CCD. Funeral Monday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 3-8 PM.
