Kratz, Frank J., of Carlstadt, NJ, formerly of Jersey City, on May 15, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Ida Kratz (nee Gualtieri). Loving father of John Kratz and his wife Patricia. Dear brother of Mildred Gepp, James, Lester, Wallace, Henry and the late William Kratz. Adored grandfather of Rebecca Kratz. Mr. Kratz lived in Jersey City most of his life before moving to Carlstadt seven years ago. He was a maintenance mechanic for Savarin Coffee in Palisades Park for over 30 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the International Union of Operative Engineers Local #68 of Caldwell. He was also past president of Washington Park Little League of Jersey City for three years. Mr. Kratz was also an Army Veteran of WWII. Funeral Thursday 8:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9:30AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, East Rutherford. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 7-9PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
