Janet Scott Jehl

Janet S. Jehl, (nee Scott) died Wednesday in West Caldwell Care Center at the age of 84. Born in Maine, she lived in North Caldwell for the past 50 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Eastern Maine Medical School of Nursing with an R.N. She served as a U.S. Army nurse in World War II. More recently she was a local and county Board of Elections worker. Janet is the beloved wife of Wilbur F. Jehl, M.D., loving mother of John J. Jehl, M.D. and his wife Susan of Campton and Linda J. Jehl and her fiance Joe Tirado of Newton, NJ. She is also survived by a sister Bette Trueworthy of Winn, ME. She will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Scott, Kristen, and Adam Jehl. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home 7 Two Bridges Rd. Fairfield. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10am on Saturday.
