Joan Dougan

Joan Dougan of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, left this world for a better place on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Born and raised in Western Australia, Joan came to the United States after meeting her husband Joseph who was stationed in Western Australia during World War II. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1987. She will be dearly missed by her five daughters, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Joan, besides being a devoted mother and wife, was highly involved in many community organizations in Lyndhurst including, among others: The Lyndhurst Garden Club, Historical Society, Rosary Society, Golden Tones, and Loops for Love. Joan also was the organist for Sacred Heart Church and Mt. Carmel Church, and a lector at St. Michael's Church.

Family will receive friends Saturday 3-5PM & Sunday 2-6PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Monday 10AM St. Michael's Church, Lyndhurst. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michael's Food Pantry, 624 Page Ave, Lyndhurst NJ 07071.
