Yolanda Balodis

Balodis, Yolanda, of Lyndhurst, NJ and Southampton, NY on July 2, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Felix Balodis. Loving mother of Dennis Balodis and his wife Brenda and Brian Balodis and his wife Carol. Dear sister of Eleanor and Enrico. Cherished grandmother of nine. Mrs. Balodis was born in New York City. She resided in Lyndhurst for 51 years and Southampton for 50 years. Mrs. Balodis was a dedicated teacher for the New York City Board of Education for 24 years. She taught at Boy's High School in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Susan E. Wagner High School in Staten Island, and Norman Thomas High School in Manhattan. Mrs. Balodis earned her undergraduate degree from St. John's University in Queens and her Master's degree from NYU. She was a member of Delta Pi Epsilon. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, Lyndhurst. Entombment in George Washington Memorial Park.
