Ada Kurz, (nee Freeman), 99, of East Thetford, Vermont, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Deputy Chief of the Fort Lee Police Department Charles John Kurz, Jr. Loving mother of David Kurz & his late wife Judy, and Donna McMahon & her husband Mark. Dear sister of Anna Merkle and the late Billy, Russell, Raymond & Oliver Freeman and Florence Kraut. Cherished grandmother of Patricia (Marc) Mangano, Lauren Shangraw, Deborah (Dana) Reed, Jennifer (David) Aguirre, John (Addy) Matyka, Pamela (Gabe) Karlis, Dylan and Sebastian McMahon. Adored great-grandmother of 11. Also survived by former daughters-in-law Margaret Murphy and Jolie Kurz. Mrs. Kurz was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of Fort Lee Fire Department. Funeral Thursday at 9 AM from the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, New Jersey. Funeral Mass 10 AM Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8 PM.
