Alan A. Merk

Dr. Alan Merk, 74, of Toms River, New Jersey, formerly of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022. Born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Dr. Anthony & Isabel Merk. Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Davies) Merk. Loving father of the late Alanna who he missed dearly and his surviving children Alan Jr., Ashley and Amanda Merk. Cherished son-in-law of Viola & the late James Davies. Alan was loved and adored by his two cats, Arabella and Khloe Katdashian and his many hotdogs, including his personal nurse Jules. Also survived by many cousins (cugini). Dr. Merk was a Chiropractor in Fairfield for over 40 years. Alan was an avid golfer, bowler, water skier, boat captain and loved going to the racetrack. He was a wonderful man with many accomplishments but the greatest of these was being a father, the love for his children was always unwavering. Friends will be received Friday 1-3 & 6-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield.
