Albert Sisco, Jr.

Albert Sisco Jr. died Tuesday in Mountainside Hospital. A lifelong resident of Fairfield, NJ, he is predeceased by his wife Bertha Dirk Sisco in 1996. He was also predeceased by his brothers Donald, Kenneth and his parents Albert and Frances Speer Sisco and his step-mother Beatrice Lyons Sisco.
His daughters Jo Ann Sisco Horn of Roseland, NJ, Karen and Rose Marie Sisco both of West Caldwell, NJ and his son Al and daughter-in-law Barbara Sisco of North Caldwell, NJ survive him. His five grandchildren Shawn and Beth Ann Horn of Roseland, NJ, Kevin Horn of Clifton, NJ and Nina and Jason Sisco of North Caldwell, NJ also survive him.
Mr. Sisco enlisted in the US Navy in July 1941 and was discharged in October 1945. While serving his country he completed numerous training classes and was primarily stationed in Hawaii. He left the service with a ranking of Aviation Chief Machinists Mate.
Upon returning from the Navy, he held jobs as a mechanic for United Airlines and later Solar Oil Company. In 1951 he started his own company Fairfield Maintenance, Inc. While running the company he was an active member in The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) and he was also a member of the Petroleum Equipment Contractors Association at the beginning of its formation, the NJ Electrical Contractors Association ahd the Passaic County Electrical Contractors Association and remained a member until his death.
Mr. Sisco also volunteered his time from 1968 until 1999 he served on the Planning Board for the Town of Fairfield.
