Alice Mardirossian

Alice Mardirossian (nee Parsekoff), 96, of Fairfield, NJ, died after a well lived and loving life on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Beloved wife of the late George Mardirossian. Loving mother of Eleanor & her husband Rocco Cafone, Dr. George & his wife Susan Mardirossian and Rose Mardirossian. Dear sister of the late Martin and Edward Parsekoff. Dear sister-in-law of Madeline Parsekoff. Cherished grandmother of Stephen & his wife Lisa Cafone, Dr. Michael Cafone, Lori Cafone, Gregory & his wife Stacy Mardirossian, and Anne & her husband Brian Magliaro. Adored great-grandmother of Christopher & Anthony Cafone, Andrew & Katie Mardirossian and Abigail & Lauren Magliaro. Also survived by nieces and nephews Lucille Morba, Albert Mardirossian Jr., Jackie Blake and Joseph Parsekoff. Alice was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She moved from the troubled region to southeastern France as a child. She was a great cook especially in Armenian cuisine-the whole family enjoyed yearly banquets at her home. An avid reader, she always advocated advanced education for her children and their children. Alice will be missed but her 96 years were a gift from God. Funeral Monday from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 11 AM St. Leon's Armenian Church, Fairlawn. Interment at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Friends will be received Monday 9-10 AM.
