Andrew Chiaramonte

Andrew L. Chiaramonte, 71, of Gilbert, Arizona formerly of Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Beloved son of the late Gasper & Antoinette Chiaramonte. Loving brother of Pasquale Chiaramonte, Peter Chiaramonte, Rose & her husband Robert Clausen, Kathyann & her husband Joseph Shortino, and the late Gasper Chiaramonte, Jr. Also survived by nephews and niece, Gasper III and Gina, Matthew and Sarah Rose, Peter Chiaramonte, Nico Chiaramonte, Christopher James Cartem, Joseph Gasper Shortino and Maryann Shortino. His great-nephew, Bennett Chiaramonte made him smile every time. Andy also adored Nina Antinora; she was his niece. Andy loved his cousins and would always speak to them on the phone. Thank you, Phil, Billie, Frankie, Addie, Phillip, John, and his special relatives Karen, Ellen, Rita, Joni, and Maureen.
If you knew Andy, you knew he was a gentle giant. He loved all animals. Kathy, our sister, has many birds and when a Cockatoo became available Andy told her to get the bird. Pearl was like Andys child, she kept him living.
Andy had been on dialysis since 2015. His friends from grammar school kept him going with phone calls and laughter, sharing memories. Richie Antinora and Joanna gave him endless support and love. Richie referred to him lovingly as “Cement Head”. If you know the Chiaramonte family members, this name is very fitting. They came to AZ to visit him many times.
The other friends that visited Andy or kept in touch with him on the phone, thank you for your love, Eddie Topolewski, Tommy Fela, Ray Beneduce, Peter Judge, Thomas Stone, Carson, Danny, Louie, Patsy Fela, Patty Purcell, Ray Lazur, and his Post Office friends.
Some of his close friends who now are in heaven that supported Andy were Sue Antinora, Bobby “Koo” Kutz, Patrick Purcell, and Dennis Petrullo.
Andy was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and former Supervisor of the United States Postal Service. The funeral is Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 10 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass is Tuesday 11 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Monday, November 21, 2022, 3 - 8 PM. If you would like to donate for Andy, he loved St Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
