Angela Tedesco

August 26, 1937 — June 25, 2014

Angela M. Tedesco, 76, of Roseland, New Jersey, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. Angela Madunio was born in Midland Park and was raised in West Paterson. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Bonaventure HS in Paterson. She was married in 1957 to Nicholas Tedesco, her high school sweet heart and husband of 45 years, who predeceased her in 2002. She was an active member of St. Thomas More Church. Angela was a CCD teacher, member of the choir, Rosary Society President, Co-Chairperson of the church fashion show, and a member of the Parish Council. Mrs. Tedesco and her husband were on the Pre-Cana Team. Angela was a Cub Scout and Brownie leader for her children. Mrs. Tedesco is predeceased by her parents Mary (nee Carozza) & Joseph Madunio and her sister Josephine Javitz. She was a devoted mother to her children Nicholas Jr. & his wife Lynn of Totowa, Michael & his wife Kim of Long Valley, Maria & her husband Thomas McGovern of Roseland and Michelle & her husband Jim Moore of Middletown, Delaware. Cherished grandmother of ten who she will vigilantly watch over from heaven, Christen & Stephen Sylvester, Michael Jr., Mark & Deanna Tedesco, Matthew, Christopher & Meghan McGovern, and James Jr. & Caitlin Moore. Her greatest joy was cooking Sunday dinner for her family and baking holiday cookies. Angela Tedesco will be especially remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family, her extraordinary kindness, and her completely unique spirit, love of life and sense of humor. She will be missed forever, but will live always in the hearts and minds of all who were blessed to know her, to love her and to be loved by her. Funeral Monday 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM St. Thomas More R.C. C hurch. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Angela's name to the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell, Development Office, One Ryerson Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006, would be appreciated.
