Anita G. Elie

Our beloved mother, Anita Germain Elie, died peacefully on February 21 in Cedar Grove, NJ, at the age of 89. Anita Elie was born on May 28, 1925 in Port Au Prince, Haiti to Marie Hermance Labadie and Marcel Germain. She married Joseph Elie her sweetheart, a professor, in January 1952 in Haiti. After moving to New York she had two beautiful daughters and a wonderful son. She had the joy of being a grandmother to 5 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids who were the joy of her life! She was the most loving person who always saw the best of a person or the situation. She was the most loving, caring and giving mother. Anita always loved to help people and share her wonderful life memories with her family. Mom would always remind us to put Jesus first in everything we do!! Anita will always be remembered, Always and Forever! Visiting will be Thursday 5-9 PM with a service at 7 PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. All are welcome to share memories at 144 Bell Street, Bellville after 9 PM. Interment Friday 11 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery with a reception to follow at oldest daughter's house at 144 Bell Street. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Anita Elie's life.
