Ann Shirley Shimansky

Ann Shirley Shimansky (nee Giordano), 78, of Fairfield died on Monday, October 23, 2006 at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, she lived in Belleville before moving to Fairfield 45 years ago. She was a saleswoman for Stern's Department Store in Willowbrook for 10 years before retiring. She taught CCD at St. Thomas More RC Church in Fairfield. Ann Shirley is the beloved wife of Elmer Shimansky, the loving mother of Maryann & Dan Kirchberg, Louis & Gayle Shimansky and Patricia & Dennis Murray. Ann Shirley leaves two sisters, Genevieve Ursitti and Helen Roth. She is the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 9am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield with a 10am Mass at St. Thomas More RC Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
