Anna Rispoli, 90, of North Arlington, passed away on February 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer also having been a breast cancer survivor. Born in Excelsior, Pennsylvania to Charles and Verna Domanski, Anna moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1945. It was there at a party that she met Vincent James her beloved and devoted husband of 68 years. Vincent lived in Harrison, New Jersey and made many trips by train while courting Anna. In 1954 they married, lived a short time in Harrison before moving to the home in North Arlington, New Jersey where they would raise their family and live for the next 67 years. For almost all her married life Anna was a tireless homemaker providing meals, sewing clothing, gardening (especially tending to her fig tree) and even taking care of the indoor painting and plumbing! There wasnt much Anna couldnt do or wouldnt, at least, attempt to do. She was quite gifted with a talent for knitting and crocheting and just about everyone who touched her life was given, at some point, an afghan, baby items, scarf, sweater or some other handiwork that was made with love. Her patience was endless in learning new skills. Her talent was shared for many years with her Loops for Love group which made blankets for cancer patients and baby beanies for newborns. Anna loved to travel with Vincent in their younger days, go on family vacations and cruises with friends. She especially enjoyed planning her late summer “Dinner Under the Grapevine” for her family. A huge part of Annas life was bowling as she loved the competitiveness of the sport and bowled in one league or another for an amazing 65 consecutive years! She also enjoyed bus rides to the casinos; most likely because she was a very lucky lady. A special thank you to all her Loops of Love, bowling and neighborhood friends who remained in touch or kept her in their thoughts and prayers during her illness and to her medical caregivers Dr. Michael Scoppetuolo, Dr. Russell Langdon and her hospice nurse, Jonas. Anna and her beautiful blue eyes will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Anna is survived by her loving husband, Vincent James, her sister, Veronica Caporale, her children, Theresa Wescott and George, Daniel Rispoli and Toni Lynn, Diane Addesso and Mark. Her grandchildren, Colleen Connaughton and husband Bernard, Brian Wescott and fiance Jessica, Lindsay and Stephen Addesso, Nicole Rispoli and her great grandchildren Zachary, Aisling and Gianna. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother Frank Domanski. Funeral Friday 10AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11AM Queen of Peace R.C. Church.
