Palumbo, Anna Rosa (nee Basile), 88, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Saturday May 3, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Palumbo, Sr. Loving mother of Teresa & her husband Ralph Vargo, Dominic Palumbo & his fiance Mary Riether, Peter J. Jr. & his wife Cathy Palumbo, and Victor & his wife Rosina Palumbo. Cherished grandmother of Jason, Lisa, Stephanie, Nicholas, and Peter. Dear sister of Gracie & the late Vincent Terranova, The late Michael & Millie Basile, the late Dolly & Anthony Manfredi, and the late Dora Basile. Adored sister-in-law of Angie Botto and Cosmo Gigante. Mrs. Palumbo was very proud of her Italian heritage which was evident in her love of cooking especially her eggplant parmigiana and "egg meatballs". She enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Jimmy Roselli. She was a big NY Yankees fan, especially Joe DiMaggio. Her family brought her much joy, but none more than her 5 beautiful grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa . Friends will be received Tuesday 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
