Anne "Nancy" Burns

Anne "Nancy" Burns (nee Newell), 80, of Palisades Park, New Jersey was born in New York City on June 23, 1933. She entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Beloved wife of 62 years to James Burns. Loving mother of James & his wife Gail Burns, Kathleen & her husband George Venidis, Maureen Tansey and William Burns. Dear sister of Frances Heffler and Joseph Newell. Adored grandmother of Heather, Allison & Kenny Tansey, Alex & Michael Venidis, Daniel, Michelle & Erin Burns and Ian & Leyna Burns. She is predeceased by her beautiful daughter Joanne Burns, devoted son-in-law Kenny Tansey, brother Thomas Newell and sister Maureen Latchford. Nancy had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of St. Michael's R.C. Parish for 50 years where she served as a trustee and Eucharistic Minister. She was a loving and active participant in the lives of her children and grandchildren and believed in living life to the fullest. Nancy always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She touched so many lives in the most positive way and will be missed dearly. The family will receive friends Saturday at St. Michael's Church, 19 East Central Boulevard, Palisades Park NJ at 10 AM immediately followed by a funeral memorial Mass at 11 AM. Arrangements under the direction of Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee.
