Anthony Frank Gialanella

Anthony Frank Gialanella, 95, of Fairfield, formerly Newark, Belleville, and Toms River and passed away Wednesday December 3, 2014. Mr. Gialanella owned and operated Thomas Gialanella and Sons Butcher in Newark until 1978, then was employed by the Geriatric Center in Belleville until his retirement in 1986. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Staff Sargeant during World War 2, returning home to marry the love of his life Sylvia (nee D'Orsi). Services will be conducted 10 am Tuesday from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ.Entombment to follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675. Mr. Gialanella is survived by his sons Thomas and his wife Donna, Robert and his wife Joan, grandchildren Robert and his wife Jackie, Dana, Melissa Beebe and her husband Hunter, Jason and his wife Christyn, great grandchildren Sofia, Ava, Luke, Emerson, Jack, Ainsley, and Tess.
