Anthony Pedati

Anthony Pedati, 88 of North Arlington, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17th at Clara Maass, Belleville. Born April 15, 1928 in Jersey City to the late Samuel & Teresa Pedati, he lived in Newark before moving to North Arlington over 50 years ago. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War and was of the first 200 men to be drafted to the complete the 45th Division and shipped off to Korea. He was employed as a Bus Driver for 45 years, retiring in 1989 from New Jersey Transit. Anthony was an avid Yankees Fan and enjoyed Cruise Trips with his wife. He was a fabulous cook, although portion control was something he never mastered. He had an infinite amount of love for his grandchildren and family. He is the loving husband of Madeline (nee: Salzano), beloved father of Janet Conti (Richard) & Lisa Vidal (Tommy), proud grandfather of Vincent & Andrew Conti, Jenna Castillo (Chris), Jennifer & Kimberly Vidal, and special brother in law of Lucille & George Vogt, & Rose & Vincent Martino. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington with Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Monday morning. Kindly omit flowers.
