Anthony "Pete" Cassera

Anthony "Pete" Cassera, 92, of Fairfield entered into eternal life on July 1. He was the beloved husband of Grace Louise Cassera (nee Nigro), and devoted father of Theodore Cassera & wife Laura, Anthony Cassera & wife Angel, Arlene McCormack & husband Will, Jo Ann Genitempo & husband Alan, and Donna Diferdinando & husband Frank. Dear grandfather of Michael, Michelle, Brian, Joseph, Ryan, Julia, Alan, Anthony, Jessica, Matthew, Donato, Anthony and Nicolo and great-grandfather of Brian, Alexandra, Leo, and Luca. Mr. Cassera was a resident of Fairfield for 60 years and worked for Allied Signal of Teterboro as a processing engineer for over 30 years. Pete was a dedicated 50+ year member & former Chief of the Fairfield Fire Department and served as an usher for many years at St Thomas More R.C. Church. Pete was a member of the Essex Rod and Gun Club, the Nutley Old Guard and a former member of UNICO of Fairfield. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Prospect Hill Cemetery, 326 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
