It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony J. Scarpino, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Born on November 4th, 1955, in Newark, NJ to Pasquale & Grace Scarpino.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife, Elisa Scarpino, who was not only his partner but his best friend, and together they created countless cherished memories. Loving father of Elyse Scarpino and Grace & her husband Marty Keating. Dear brother of Robert & his wife Jan Scarpino and Patricia & her husband Billy Freda. Adored Brother-in-law of Anna Marie Cesario. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & great nephews.
In the community, Anthony was an active member of the Men's Cornerstone group at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, passionately contributing to the spiritual and social fabric of the parish. He served as president of the Hanover Township Board of Education and the Hanover Township Education Foundation where he demonstrated his commitment to education and the development of youth in his community.
An avid Yankees fan, Anthony found joy in cheering for his favorite team. He had a deep passion for photography, running, and softball. He had a profound love for the beach, often dreaming of living in Florida, where he could bask in the sun.
Visitation Friday, March 21st, 4-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. A Funeral Mass in his memory will be held Saturday, March 22nd, 10AM at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel RC Church, Cedar Knolls. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
Anthony's legacy of love, kindness, and community service will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
