Arthur Joseph Merle, 94, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee DiGenio) Merle. Loving father of Mary Ann & her husband Jonathan Wurst, Diane Merle, and Anthony Merle. Dear father-in-law of Beth Merle. Adored grandfather of Adam Jacob Muller, Isabel Merle, Anthony Merle, & Luke Merle. Cherished brother of Pete, Joe, Mike & his wife Julie, Eddie & his wife Lorraine, and the late Frank & Bob Merle. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Mr. Merle served as a Corporal in US Marines during WWII from 1944-1946. Arthur was an Operating Engineer for many years with Local #825. Funeral Service Monday 4:30PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst and will be streamed online at stellatofuneralhomes.com. Cremation Private.
