Barbara A. "Pinky" D'Andrea Smith, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2019. Beloved Daughter of the late James & Virginia (nee Caruso) D'Andrea. Cherished sister of Dolores M. Norcia and her husband Robert Sr. with whom she shared a very special bond. She was predeceased by her dear brother James "Chippy" D'Andrea. Caring and generous Aunt to Denise Marie Norcia Kelly, who is also her goddaughter, and her late husband Joseph, Barbara Jean Norcia Forsness, Lisa Ann Norcia and her fiance Leonard Marshall Jr., James D'Andrea and his wife Alyssa, Michael D'Andrea and Eva Marie D'Andrea. Adored Great Aunt of Stephen, Alexxandria & her fiance Luis Mejias, Victor III, Mikey, Madison, & James Joseph. Precious Great Great Aunt to Vincent, Luis, & Luna. She will also be missed by her best friend Sue Capristo, godson Michael S. Carucci, and many cousins and friends. A woman of strength, character, and principle Barbara loved spending time with her family. She also was a die hard Yankees and Saints fan, Born and raised in Jersey City, Barbara graduated from Jersey City State College. She then went on to teach at her alma mater Public School #11 in Jersey City for 40 years. After her retirement she volunteered her time at Sacred Heart School in Jersey City and spent her summers at Doolans Shore Club. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd. Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Queen of Peace R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
