Barbara M. Caloia

Barbara Marie joined her husband, Frank Caloia on Friday, April 4, 2014 one day before her 93rd birthday. Loving mother of Louis & his wife Joanne Caloia. Cherished grandmother of Barbara & her husband Jerry Nelson, Matthew Caloia and Nicole & her husband Kenny Boffalow. Adored great-grandmother of Gabriel & Brooke Nelson. She was an extremely loving and caring woman. You couldn't help but love her. She was little, she was cute, she was the world to her family. One of her favorite phrases was, "I love life." And she truly did. She woke up happy, she went to sleep happy. It was a rare occasion when she didn't have a smile on her lips and laughter in her voice. Her peals of laughter were infectious and it didn't matter what you were doing or where you were, if you heard her laugh you were instantly laughing as well. She was a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, an aunt, a god mother and a wonderful friend. It was a blessing to know her. She will be missed more than words. Funeral Tuesday 10:30 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Barbara was a loving mom and grandma. She enjoyed everything about life including shopping and bingo. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11:30 AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Monday 3-8 PM.
