Jasinski, Edward J "Jazz" of Lyndhurst, NJ, retired Captain of the Lyndhurst Police Dept. died on Friday June 13, 2003 at the age of 80 in Beth Israel Hospital, Passaic. Beloved husband of Claire (nee Donorovich).Loving father of Lt. Richard Jasinski, Sr of the Lyndhurst Police Dept. and Joyce Tricola. Cherished grandfather of Richard, Jr. and Jonathon Jasinski and Jackie Tricola. "Jazz" was with the Lyndhurst Police Dept. for 33 years, retiring in 1985, and was a member and past president of PBA Local 202. He was a World War II Army Veteran. As member of the St. Michael's Leisure Citizens Club, he served as its president and was also a member of the Barringer-Walker-LoPinto Post #139 of Lyndhurst. The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home 425 Ridge Rd. Lyndhurst with a 9:30am Mass at St. Michael's RC Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lyndhurst. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
