Carl James Wronko, 97, longtime Fairfield, New Jersey resident passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Runnion) Wronko for 74 years. Loving father of Carl F. Wronko & his wife Christine, Kevin Wronko & his wife Janice, James Wronko, Cynthia Wronko & her husband Howard, and his late children Terence Wronko and Darcy Wronko. Father-in-law of Jim Borgeson and Clare Wronko. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Amy, Meghan, Becki, Tara, Elizabeth, Joanna, Stephanie, Lindsay, Carly, Mark, Erik, Jenna, Kurt, and the late Sean. Adored great-grandfather of 10 great-granchildren. Mr. Wronko served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. In 1949 he graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and went onto receive his Master's Degree in Accounting from New York University. He was a CPA in the Fairfield area since 1961, and was a member of the Morris and Essex Chapter of Certified Public Accountants for many years, also serving as President. Mr. Wronko was a professor of accounting in the Rutgers University and Seton Hall University undergraduate programs and in the master's program at New York University. Carl was an active parishioner at St. Thomas More Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Little Falls and the Fairfield Township Republican Club. Mr. Wronko served on the Fairfield Township Counsel from 1975-1986 and was also the Fairfield Police Department Liaison. He was instrumental in the development of the township park, and could be found jogging around that park until his 90s. He looked forward to the yearly vacation with his children and extended family to Wildwood Crest as well as the annual golf outing to Myrtle Beach with his family and friends. Funeral Saturday at 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 11AM St. Thomas More Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends will be received Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9PM.
