Sofio, Carmela A. (nee Deo), of Lyndhurst on Monday, May 9, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Peter A. Sofio. Loving mother of Peter M., Christopher and his wife Sarita and Charles Sofio. Dear sister of Sam Deo. Cherished grandmother of Jose and Christopher K. Sofio. Mrs. Sofio lived in Lyndhurst for 53 years. She was a township bookkeeper for the Department of Revenue and Finance for the Township of Lyndhurst for 18 years before retiring in 2000. Funeral will be on Friday, May 13, 2005, 8AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, Lyndhurst. Entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations may be made in her name to the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad, PO Box 471, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
