Carmine Anthony Sessa, born in Brooklyn on October 8, 1924, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019. The patriarch of our family, he was known lovingly as Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle, and Friend. During his 94 years, he made an impact on so many, and his humor, wit, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
Carmine served his country during World War II in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 and received several decorations during his service.
He lived an abundant life and his many stories and the memories we made with him will live on with us in our hearts. We will think of him and his love for his family and all things Brooklyn, fondly, knowing he is now reunited with his wife Josephine, siblings, and other loved ones. Till we meet again.
The arrangements for Carmine will be held on Saturday, March 9 from noon to 3 p.m. at Hunts Stellato Funeral Home (1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ 07024). A "Celebration of Life" will follow at 4 p.m. at the home of Robert and Melissa Gentile (69 Washington Avenue, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407).
