Carol Ann Squitieri, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Bayonne on the morning of August 14, 2023. Born on June 14, 1956, also in Bayonne, Carol lived a life full of love, thoughtfulness, and selflessness, touching the lives of many with her gentle spirit and nurturing nature.
Carol was the beloved wife of the late Louis I. Squitieri and the cherished daughter of the late Donald and Helma (nee Spreen) Fischer. She was a loving mother to her son, Daniel and his wife Jennifer, and her daughter, Christina. Carol was also a devoted grandmother to Sharlese, Dean, Lydia, Layla, and Amaar. Her companion, Wayne, held a special place in her heart.
Carol was the dear sister of the late Nancy Specce and Dianne Fischer Iozzi and her husband Jefferey "Zoomo". She was a fond sister-in-law to Gerard Specce and Olimpia Reed, and her late husband Paul Reed. Carol was a treasured aunt to Suzanne & Roddy, Alison & Steven, Joey, and Keith and his wife Eva, and Gina Marie. She was also a loved cousin to Penny Johnson Haggerty & her daughter Victoria Novoa & her husband Junji, John Joseph, and Linda Higgins. Carol's lifelong friend, Diana Dzbenski, held a special place in her life, as did her many great nieces and nephews.
Carol spent many years as a babysitter, nurturing and caring for countless children within her community. She also worked at the Prodigy Learning and Day Care Center. Carol's dedication to the well-being and growth of children was a testament to her selfless nature and immense capacity for love.
Carol's interests were simple and heartfelt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and love.
Carol's life was a testament to the power of love and kindness. Her spirit will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the stories shared by her children, and the love she instilled in her family. Carol Ann Squitieri will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, thoughtfulness, and selflessness will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her. Funeral Service Thursday 5pm at Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home 691 Ave C, Bayonne. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8pm. Private Cremation.
