Caterina Papalia

Papalia, Caterina (nee LaDolcetta), 92, on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Born in Villa San Giovanni, Reggio Calabria, Italy, she lived most of her adult life in Fort Lee, NJ. Rina was the beloved wife of the late Frank V. Papalia and the loving mother of Vincent and his wife Fernanda Papalia, Frank D. Papalia and his wife Marisa DiBenigno and Lina and her husband Terrence Corriston. She was and will always be the cherished grandmother of Alexandra, Leah, Brianna, Frank Daniel, Jessica, Brennan, Julia & Katie. She was the dear sister of Guiseppe LaDolcetta, Franco LaDolcetta and Vincenza Calabro and leaves many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rina lived her life with the utmost character, courage, dignity and integrity. She gave everything she had to her children and grandchildren and devoted her life to them with a selflessness, love and unflinching sense of purpose that made her a shining example for us all. She will be missed terribly, cherished always and will live on through her family, the legacy she chose long ago and nurtured throughout her life with unqualified love and unerring guidance.

Family and friends are welcome to say farewell to Rina on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 4 to 8:30 PM at the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ. Services begin at the Funeral Home at 10am on Wednesday, August 7 and the Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM at the Madonna Church on the Hill, 2070 Hoefley's Lane, Fort Lee, New Jersey, and will be presided over by Reverend Pasquale Papalia.
