Catherine T Wilbur

June 13, 1930 — July 15, 2012

Wilbur, Catherine T., born Renee Catherine McLarney, June 13, 1930, peacefully passed to heaven July 15, 2012. Daughter of Anna (nee McGowan) and Arthur McLarney, she was raised in a very loving home in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn. She was a proud graduate of Good Shepherd School and James Madison High School. Catherine was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at Hunter College, a past member of Sweet Adelines and was honored to be a eucharistic minister at Holy Rosary RC Church. She worked for many years but her family was her priority.
A 48 year resident of Edgewater, Catherine was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Robert Charles Wilbur (1999), her son Robert Daniel Wilbur (1997), and her best friends brother Arthur Gabriel McLarney (2005) and sister Anne "Birdie" Cosgrove (2010). She is survived by her son David Wilbur and his wife Judi and her most cherished buddy, granddaughter, Gabrielle Wilbur. Catherine's sister, Alice Pallett survives her as do nephews & nieces Maggie Pallett, Arthur Pallett, Annemarie & James Kurpiel, Peter & Patricia Cosgrove, Arthur & Karen Cosgrove, Andrew & Jackie Cosgrove, John & Patricia Cosgrove, Jim, Mary, Logan, & Christopher Kurpiel, Ryan, Sean, Jason, Frances, Carter, John, Susan, & Patrick Cosgrove, Richard, Kat, Morrison, Mara, Steve, Sarah, Zoe, Ron, Elaine & Hazel Mazurek, Nicole, Nick, Kevin, Ellie & Max Eden. Also blessing "Gram Wilburs" life were Hanna, Adam, Luke & Daniel Jurek.
Catherine is also survived by sisters-in-law Pauline McGovern, Mary Hoeger & her husband Charles, Betty Wilbur and by Bob's many beloved nieces & nephews. Childhood best friend, cousin Josephine Myers survives her as does neighbor, caretaker, and great friend Kwon Lee.
Catherine is also survived by Rob's countless outstanding friends that helped brighten so many days especially Robert Bredin, Kevin Doran, & Thomas Jurek.
Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ. Funeral Mass 10 AM Holy Rosary R.C. Church. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
