Cecilia Grosso

Cecilia Grosso (nee Waldeck) of Lyndhurst died November 28, 2005 at the age of 98. Born in Jersey City, she has lived in Lyndhurst since 1925. She was the Vice President of Donald Engineering & Construction Company of Lyndhurst for 10 years retiring in 1962. Cecilia was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Lyndhurst and was a member of its Critters Craft Group. She was also a member of the AARP of Lyndhurst, Southwest Bergen Senior Citizen Group of East Rutherford, and the Bergen County Senior Concert Choir. She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank in 1969 and three sons Bartholomew, Frank, and John. She is the beloved mother of Donald of Chestnut Ridge, NY and Corbin of Lyndhurst and Jacquelyn Hine-Tanner of Hewitt. She is the dear sister of Alice Corsaro of Paramus and the late Lester Waldeck. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Four grandchildren pre-deceased her. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Lyndhurst followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
