Savino, Charlotte L, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, November 5, 2005. Beloved great-aunt of George, James and Annette Savino, Kimberly and Paul Daniel, Jan Di Russo, Guy Savino and the late David Savino, Lt. Col. USAF. Loving great-grand aunt of George, Alexandra, Kristy, Lindsey, Justin, Chala, David, Daniel, Tara, Maureen and Robert. Dear sister of John Savino, Grace Roeschke, Annette Daniel, the late Guy Savino and the late Carmine Savino. Ms. Savino was a lifelong Lyndhurst resident. She was principal of Lincoln School for 20 years and worked for the Lyndhurst Board of Education for 50 years retiring in 1974. She was a local columnist for the Leader Free Press where her column, Vagabonding with Knife & Fork, was seen each week. She was a graduate of Kearny High School, Montclair Normal School, a member of the Lyndhurst Teachers Association, New Jersey Teachers Association and National Teachers Association. She was also a life member of the PTA and a member of the Lyndhurst Women's Club. Funeral Wednesday 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 3-8 PM. Donations may be made in her name to the Lyndhurst Education Fund, 30 Park Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
