David J. Peterson, Sr.

David Peterson Sr, 81, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on July 8. Beloved husband of Lucille Peterson (nee French). Devoted father of David Peterson, Jr & his wife Karen, Darlene Bunker & her husband Rick, and Cathy Backensto & her husband Benjamin. Adored grandfather of Kyle, Nicole, Kelsey, Cayla, Mackenzie, and Jonah and cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Joanne, in 1990. Mr. Peterson proudly served in the Army from 1955 to 1957 and served as the Police Commissioner of Edgewater. He was a musician at Holy Rosary church for many years and was also a fund raiser for Kidney Charities. Funeral Thursday 9AM from Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home,1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, N.J. Funeral Mass 10 AM at Holy Rosary Church, Edgewater, NJ. Interment, Madonna Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
