Dawn Marie Benedetto Failace

Dawn Marie Benedetto Failace passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. After a courageous battle with cancer that lasted over nine years, she faced her final moments with grace and strength.

Born on September 24, 1970, in Hackensack, NJ, Dawn was a vibrant spirit who found her greatest joy in being a mother to her beloved children, Jessica and Michael. They were her pride and purpose, and every moment spent with them was a treasure.

Beyond her role as a devoted mother, Dawn was known as an advocate and source of comfort for others whose lives have been touched by cancer. Her ability to offer guidance and support brought hope to many during their darkest times, radiating compassion and empathy that only she could provide.

Dawn also cherished life's simplest pleasures-whether it was relishing the calm of the beach, tending to her backyard garden, or enjoying quality time with family and friends, she embraced each moment with a joyful heart.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Linda Benedetto, her daughter, Jessica Failace, her son, Michael Failace, Jr., her sister Diane & her husband Richard Gress, her cherished niece, Mackenzie Gress, and her beloved dog, Bella, as well as adored aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who have become like family. She is predeceased by her father, Frank Benedetto. Dawn's warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Dawn's incredible life on Wednesday, January 1st, 2-6 PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 10 AM at the Funeral Home with Mass to follow at 11 AM Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Cremation private.
