Dennis Cooke

Dennis Cooke, 78, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Beloved husband of 54 1/2 years (55 in September) to Margaret (nee Maida) Cooke. Loving father of Dennis & his wife Monica Cooke and Jeannine & her husband Tim Burns. Dear brother of Michael & his wife Linda Cooke, Kevin & his wife Karen Cooke and brother-in-law of Josephine Abate, Diane Malinchak and Joseph Maida. Cherished grandfather of Kendall, Adrianna and Daniel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cooke was a Teacher in Union City for many years before retiring. He was the wrestling coach at Becton High School and Lyndhurst High School and girls JV softball coach. He loved sports especially the Yankees and Giants and enjoyed playing golf, softball and racquetball. Funeral Friday 9:45AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10:45AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
