Dolores "Del" Sbrocco

Dolores "Del" V. (nee Bucco) Sbrocco, 83, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday July 14, 2017 after suffering from COPD. She grew up in the Ridgewood section of Brooklyn where she met Anthony Sbrocco, her predeceased husband of 60 years. . Loving mother of Victoria & her husband Peter Lieberman, Bernadette & her husband Kirk Rebane, Regina & her husband John Bambach, and Edward & his wife Cindy Sbrocco. Cherished grandmother of Christian, Melody, Jillian & her husband Michael, Jeremy, Timothy & his wife Samantha, Katie, Caroline, Melissa, Rachel, Kurt, And Shane. Adored great-grandmother of Gavin and baby girl on the way. Dear sister of Richard & his wife Gloria Bucco. Mrs. Sbrocco was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School in 1952. She was a very active parishioner of St. Thomas More during its inception and a member of the 1st Parish Council. Del was a longtime Matron of the Fairfield Police Department. She was a member of the Fairfield Juvenile Converence Committee and Girl Scout Leader. While raising her children, Del worked as a waitress at Pal's Cabin in West Orange. She was an assistant in the Fairfield and Caldwell Tax Offices. After Del & Broc retired, they enjoyed traveling abroad. She loved to bake, cook, sew and attend ceramic classes. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Tuesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 4 - 8PM. Donations may be made to St. Catherine's Health Care Center, 7 Ryerson Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006.
