Dominick T. "Dan" Sparano

Sparano, Dominick T. "Dan", of Fairfield, NJ, formerly of Toms River on Friday, June 10, 2005. Beloved husband of Angelina, (nee Meola). Devoted father of Joseph, David and Daniel Sparano. Cherished grandfather of five.
Dan was a World War II Army Veteran receiving the Purple Heart. He worked as a sales manager for St. Joseph's Paper Co. in Hackensack 1960-1980. He then worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Fairlawn until his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of the VFW of Toms River, the VFW of Fairfield, member of the Toms River Italian American Club (Berkley Heights), St. Thomas More RC Church Choir 1965-1990 and a founding member of the Fairfield Theater Guild. Dan was lead singer for "The Calendar Girls", Toms River, an over 50 group that entertained at area hospitals, senior citizen groups and nursing homes.
Funeral Tuesday, 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM at St. Thomas More RC Church. Cremation private. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
