Donald T. Rawa

Donald Rawa, 73, a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 9th, 2024 after a long, brave battle with cancer.  An avid outdoorsman Donald was one of the senior members of The Sportsmen Club of Lyndhurst where he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Donald served in the Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran.  Much of his free time was spent with fellow Veterans at American Legion Post 139.  Donald leaves  behind his wife, Carol Rawa (nee Palumbo), children Jason Rawa, his wife Julia, Shawn Rawa, his wife Amy, Eric Vacante, his wife Tina, Brian Vacante and 5 grandchildren:  Grace, Brody, Jack, Stella and Emilia. Viewing will be held at Stellato's on Saturday, May 18th 10-12:30 with a mass immediately following at St Michaels Church at 1PM.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be sent in honor of Donald to the East Orange VA Medical Center at Donate Here
