Donald Steven Picinich

Donald Steven Picinich, 58, of Wood-Ridge, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Donald was born in North Bergen, New Jersey to Joan (nee Molinelli) and the late Arnold Picinich. Beloved husband of Dawn (nee DeCarlo) Picinich. Loving father of Dominique Lynch & her husband Patrick, Donnie Picinich & his wife Krystal, and Daniel Picinich & his fianc Jessica Bowman. Proud dog dad of Harley, the kid he never knew he wanted. Adored papa of Niko, Zachary, and Amelia. Cherished brother of Arnold Picinich & his wife Lisa, William Picinich & his partner Daisy Silva, and Nicholas DeCarlo & his wife Susan. Dear uncle of Danielle Billings, Taisia Koeppel, Arnold Picinich, Jimmy Picinich, Nicholas DeCarlo, and Megan DeCarlo. Donald was a US Navy veteran serving from 1982-1987. He was a Sergeant for the Bergen County Sheriff's Department for 25 years before retiring in 2012 and was a member of PBA Local 134. Sgt. Picinich was a proud member of the M.F.J.G. Bike Club and loved his Sunday morning rides on his Harley. Donald also enjoyed smoking a big cigar in the yard with the men in his life. After his retirement, Donald was the Security Coordinator at iLearn School in Passaic. Ducky, as he was lovingly referred to by many, had a devotion to his family and friends that was unmatched. As a friend he would lend a hand to anyone in need without being asked. As a husband and father he was the ultimate family man. It made him truly happy to put his friends and family first. Funeral Thursday 10AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Ceremony to follow at the East Ridgelawn Crematory Chapel. Friends will be received Wednesday 4 - 8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Donald Picinich Tribute Fund.
