Doris Ellen Carlucci

Doris Ellen Carlucci (nee Catanzaro), 91, passed away on April 8, 2020. Doris was born in Newark and lived most of her life in Bloomfield, NJ and Fairfield, NJ. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Carlucci, a veteran of the Korean War and electrical engineer of amazing accomplishments who passed away in 2012.

Doris is survived by her four children: Vincent, and his wife Yaneth; Fred, and his wife Maryella; Carol Carlucci and Jo-Ann Carlucci. She is additionally survived by her four adoring grandchildren: Shannon and Brandon McDonald, Eric Carlucci, and Darlene Carlucci. Doris is also survived by a half-brother in St. Louis, Richard Darling, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

She was a wonderful, supportive, humble woman who cared tremendously for her loved ones and touched many lives. Doris was a cancer survivor and a matriarch in the truest sense of the word. Her family requests that she be remembered for her strength and selflessness, not as a victim of this harrowing pandemic. She loved Elvis Presley, fashion, sewing, crafting and her family above all else.

Following a private cremation, Doris will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at B.G. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown NJ.

Memorial Service Monday, October 19th, 5-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Interment Tuesday, October 20th, 11:30Am at B.G. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Due to Doris's love of children, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
