Dorothy Julia DeCarlo (nee Cima), 89, of Wood Ridge, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Devoted daughter of the late William & Ethel Cima. Beloved mother of Denise & her husband John Gervato, Nicholas & his wife Susan DeCarlo and Dawn & her late husband Donald Picinich. Loving grandmother of Dominique & her husband Patrick Lynch, Nicole & her husband Andrew Miller, Donnie & his wife Krystal Picinich, Lt. Phillip Gervato, USNR, Patricia Rose Gervato, Daniel & his wife Jessica Picinich, Francesca & her husband Nicholas LaPorta, Nicholas DeCarlo and Megan DeCarlo. Cherished great-grandmother of Juliette, Niko, Zachary, Andrew Jr. and Amelia Marie. Dear sister of Linda & her husband Ronald Agresta, the late Rosemarie & her late husband Ronald Emerson, the late William & his surviving wife Laura Cima. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dottie was the Film Librarian at Hackensack University Medical Center for 21 years before retiring in 2014. Honey, as she was lovingly called, liked watching the New York Yankees and various game shows. She often played the lottery and enjoyed her scratch offs. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, giving gifts to her family brought her so much joy. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Graveside Service Friday 11:20AM, St. Mary's Cemetery, 224 Westminster Pl. Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
