Edward Herman Dorner, Jr.

Dorner, Edward Herman Jr. 82, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 26, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Edward was raised in Union City, NJ and was a longtime resident of Fairfield, NJ for 39 years.
He had a successful 26 year career with Equitable Life Insurance in New York subsequent to owning his business, BelAir Painting and Wallcovering, for 10 years.
Before retirement, Edward worked an additional 13 years at Home Depot.
Edward leaves behind his loving wife, Beatrice (Trotola) Dorner, of 57 years; two children, Thomas Dorner Sr. (Vanessa) and Debra (Curtis) Wahle along with five grandchildren, Thomas Dorner Jr., Nicole Dorner, Parker Wahle, Michael and David Lagomarsino.
Edward was predeceased by his son Edward H. Dorner III.
Funeral Saturday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More Church, 12 Hollywood Ave. Fairfield, NJ. Entombment to follow Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Friends will be received Friday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation at www.curealz.org/Donate.
