Eileen Ann Baniel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Ann Baniel (née Jachim), beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who left us on March 26, 2025 at the age of 91.

Eileen is predeceased by her beloved husband, Benjamin Baniel, and her six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her cherished son, Raymond & his wife Maria (Corbo) Baniel, her devoted daughter, Susan Baniel, her grandson, Alec Baniel, and many nieces and nephews.

Born and living most of her life in Bayonne, Eileen attended Daniel P. Sweeney High School, briefly worked at the Bayonne Times, and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Eileen was a dedicated mother and daughter, raising her family and taking care of her mother.

In honoring Eileen's life, a Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 2, 11AM at St. Michael the Archangel R.C. Church in Lyndhurst. Eileen will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, the Baniel family asks to please send your prayers and support.
