Elaine A. Pagano

Elaine A. Pagano (nee Basso), 69, of Fairfield, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving husband of more than 45 years, Neil Pagano and her children Kristen Pagano, Stacy & John Komninos and Stephen & Geri Pagano, after her brave battle with cancer. Dear sister of Robert & his wife Carole Basso and Joseph Pagano. Cherished grandmother of Julia Elaine, Sarah Elizabeth, Charles Jackson and Emma Natalie. Survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, cousins
and dear friends. Elaine shared her warm heart and smile with the children of Fairfield as a teacher for 20 years and as "mom" of the youth group of St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Dedicated to her faith she served as a Eucharist Minister many Sundays. Elaine opened her home and heart to her family and friends who received the benefit of her delicious home-cooked meals on par with any restaurant. Elaine was our matriarch. She raised a good and loving family. She taught us to take care of each other by how loving she took care of us. She taught us to love. She taught us that people are more important than things. Love, respect and dignity as taught by Elaine created our family. We loved her very much and her values will always be with us. Christ promised that his father's house has many rooms and he has prepared one for Elaine. The family is welcoming visitors at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road,
Fairfield, from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Thomas More R.C. Church in Fairfield. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of Charity, P.O.
