Eleanor Cox

Eleanor Cox, 91, passed away on April 26, 2018. She was born June 30, 1926. She married the late John Cox in 1948, and they lived together in Jersey City, New Jersey. Eleanor retired from A. Harry Moore School where she was a teacher aide who touched the lives of all the students. Eleanor was an active member of Our Lady of Victories Church most of her life. She also volunteered at St. Ann's Home and The Hudson Cradle. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Kathleen Karlsson, her son John Cox, her son-in-law Edward Karlsson and her daughter-in-law Lisa Cox. She also is survived by her grandson Matthew and her granddaughter Jessica and her beloved nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her sisters Mary Boyle, Catherine Mahan and Anna Marsh. Funeral service Saturday, May 5th, 11AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Entombment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Family and friends are invited to visit 9AM-11AM Saturday, May 5th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanor's name to the Mary Boyle Scholarship Fund, Hudson Catholic High School, 790 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City NJ 07306.
