Eleanor M. Metcalf (nee Hale), 72, of Lyndhurst, NJ, on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Beloved wife of 55 years of Rowland Richard Metcalf. Devoted daughter of Eleanor (nee Paprota) & the late Joseph T. Hale. Loving mother of Joyce Metcalf Jankowski and R. Richard Metcalf. Dear sister of Thomas John Hale and sister-in-law of Lois Anne Hale. Cherished aunt of Christine Ann Webber & Children and Thomas Robert Hale & Children. Adored grandmother of Patrick Joseph Carucci, Kristie Ann Metcalf, Taylor Nicole Metcalf, Kaitlyn Rose Metcalf, Jordan Lynn Metcalf and Adrianna Rose Carucci. A friend of Bill W. Mrs. Metcalf was born in Askam, PA and moved to Lyndhurst in 1961. She was an avid reader and loved to travel with her family and husband. Funeral Service Thursday at 11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Private cremation. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8 PM.
