Elizabeth Santos Cuco

Elizabeth Santos Cuco, age 90, passed away with her family by her side on April 14, 2020. She was born in Gafanha de Aqum, Ilhavo, Portugal. She arrived to the United States in 1961 where she resided in Newark with her late husband John M. Cuco. She is survived by her son, John, daughter-in-law, Diane and her grandchildren, John Paul and Melanie. Also, survived by her son Fernando and his wife Ibeth.

Elizabeth was the matriarch of our family and loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren who she was living with when she passed. She loved spending time with them and enjoyed her hobby of crocheting blankets and hats, along with cooking, and was an excellent seamstress.

We always looked forward to our Sunday family dinners at her home. We admire her for her strength and her keen intellect which followed her to the end. Rest in eternal peace M
