Ellen Marie Lynch

Ellen Marie Lynch, 64, of Englishtown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Ellen dedicated her life to public service and community protection.

Ellen served as a respected Hudson County Sheriff and retired as a distinguished officer of the Jersey City Police Department. Her commitment to law enforcement and her community was unwavering, earning her the admiration and respect of colleagues and residents alike.

Beloved daughter of the late Henry & Margaret Lynch, Sr.  Loving sister of Thomas Henry Lynch and Henry Joseph Lynch Jr. Cherished aunt of Sean Thomas Lynch. Ellen's family and friends remember her as a person of great integrity, kindness, and dedication, whose generous spirit touched many lives.

Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nephew Sean, who held a special place in her heart. Her legacy of dedication, courage, and love will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.

Funeral Wednesday at 8:45 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass at 9:45 AM, Queen of Peace R.C. Church.  Friends will be received Tuesday, 4 - 8 pm.
