Emily Diehl

Emily Williams Diehl (nee Hoppe), 97, formerly of Cresskill, NJ on August 29, 2011. Born in Fairview, NJ she lived at various stages of her life in Palisades Park, Fort Lee, Cresskill and Rockleigh. She was the daughter of Amanda Beyer and Thomas Hoppe, Sr. She was the dear youngest sister of all the late and great Hoppes: Adelaide, Thomas, Lillian, Elizabeth, Albert, Edward, Marie and Herbert. Survived by her daughters Sondra Reduce and Sheila Abate. The pride of Emily's life were her three grandchildren. The joy and love was further shared by her four great grandchildren. Emily also leaves many nieces, nephews and her Goddaughter Gail Hoppe Presgraves. She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Williams, and her second husband John Diehl. She is retired from Bethlehem Steel Company where she worked for many years in the Stock Transfer Department. Emily was a parishioner of Saint Therese's Church in Cresskill. She was a kind and caring person who will be missed. Arragements were under the direction of Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee.
