Enrico C. Gasperini, 85, of Towaco, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday July 1, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of surviving wife Wanda Gasperini (Stanziale) of 60 years. He was the loving father of Lisa Gasperini - Keller, her husband Robert Keller, and daughter Christina; the father of Lorenzo Gasperini, his wife Milena Aguliar - Gasperini, sons David and Steven Gasperini, stepdaughter Camila Araque, and was survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Enrico was born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1934 where he grew up with his parents Guillermo and Elisabetta Gasperini, sister Delia and brothers Mario and Almo (Sonny). He started his young life by joining the NJ Air National Guard and serving under the 119th Fighter Interceptor Group, at McGuire Air Force Base, in June of 1952. He was admired by all of his co-workers and was the "go-to" man when designing and building new pro-types. He worked with research and development teams developing solutions for the medical, computer, commercial and industrial markets. His big achievements include working at the forefront of early laser printer development, designing the prototype for the VasoSeal dilator, that had an impact on the cardiovascular medical field, and numerous other inventions. He married Wanda Stanziale on September 18, 1960 and started his family. Enrico enjoyed his close relationship with Wandas parents Fedele and Carmela Stanziale and their big Italian family. Enrico loved airplanes, playing the piano, photography, watching old movies, attending to his stamp collection, designing electronics, and was a master at fixing and restoring whatever he set his eyes on. However, what he loved the most was enjoying his grandchildren and making people laugh with his jokes. But ultimately, he was more than this; he was a kind, sweet-hearted, and gentle man who would always be there for anyone and everyone. He is an inspiration to his family and friends and will always be remembered and missed.
